Washing Christian's Hair

Oh my goodness ... Scarlett makes me LAUGH! She really loves to help wash Christian at bath time and as you'll see, she really takes her job seriously.

Scarlett and Pooh

Today Scarlett brought Pooh with us when we took Christian to school.  She put him down so she could explore other things.  A few minutes later, I returned Pooh to her and she was so excited to see him.

And since Mommy always has a camera handy ... :)

Thank Goodness for Washable Markers!

Sparkly Toes!

For months, I've wanted to paint Scarlett's toe nails, but she'd never let me get near them.

She finally let me!  I decided glitter nail polish was best because even if she touches it while drying, the overall paint job still looks good.

They are super cute glittering in the sunlight.  The funny thing is that its mostly men who have admired her sparkly toes.  I've had three guys comment on how cute they are - ha!

Now, whenever she sees a bottle of nail polish, she gets it in her hand and tracks me down, "More, more, more!!!"   Ha!!  That's my girl!

That's right ... I'm raising Scarlett to be a girly girl.

Scarlett's Self Portrait

I didn't take this picture ... just found it on my camera.

I think she's taken her first self-portrait! :)   And that is funny because Christian takes A LOT of self portraits with my camera.  Guess it is a "Lucero Kiddo" thing to do. :)

Miss Scarlett's Independence Day

Happy Independence Day!

Today's annual Bicycle Parade was a hot, humid event.  Miss Scarlett was mighty fussy from the start, but fell asleep for a few minutes while on the parade route.

I made her patriotic tutu for her to wear and she did not like it, initially.  But she warmed up to it (or, at least forgot she didn't like it).

Head over here to see Scarlett for last year's Independence Day:  http://loslucerosdeux.blogspot.com/2012/07/princessas-first-independence-day.html

I tried to capture a similar pic:
